Ramp The Mall

Function: Bicycle flagship store, office space
Project type: New construction
Location: Next to Songzhu Station, Taichung, Taiwan
Design: 2020

Set beside a suburban train station in Taichung, this project proposes a flagship store and headquarters for a bicycle brand.

Instead of separating circulation and architecture, the building integrates a bike path directly into its spatial logic—blending infrastructure and brand identity into one continuous ride.

The lower level connects directly to the metro, with a gentle sloped path welcoming cyclists from the station to the ground.

Offices sit above, and the top floors open into terraces and event spaces—ideal for new product launches overlooking the city park.

This layered strategy transforms the building into more than just a shop: it becomes a hub for community, movement, and shared enthusiasm.

Large glass panels and concealed ceiling lights create bright, even lighting inside. The curtain wall detaches from the slab edge, forming a seamless façade that enhances the showroom experience. Riders can test bikes on dedicated ramp levels inside the building.
